In the wake of a referendum result which has seen market and political turmoil, the outlook for manufacturing and engineering is a key question in terms of the UK’s future economic prosperity.
Along with colleagues across England, Wales and Scotland, METALL sponsors Carpenter Box are running their 5th annual Manufacturing & Engineering Survey which will feed in to a national report on the opinions and expectations for the industry’s future. Chris Coopey the Head of the Manufacturing Engineering and Technology Group at Carpenter Box commented: ‘Although none of us have access to a crystal ball, your views in the here and now will help our specialist advisers gauge where the sector is currently and what can be done to support it through what may be an uncertain few years.’
‘We will again be focusing on a number of core areas: your views post referendum, your business as a whole including business confidence and growth, recruitment, funding and energy & sustainability. The survey is anonymous and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Once we have completed the analysis you will receive the full report detailing the findings with case studies and commentary from industry experts.’
‘We are also delighted to confirm that Lloyds Commercial Banking, who have sector specialists trained by the Warwick Manufacturing Group are supporting this year’s MHA Manufacturing & Engineering Survey.’
Analysis will be supplied by Cranfield University and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
